Michael Cohen, the former CEO of the global tech company, Amazon, is planning to open an online book store and bookstore in Israel in the coming months.
According to the Jerusalem Post, Cohen will launch his new book store on April 4.
The website for the new store will be called “The Book Shop.”
The website for Cohen’s bookstore in Tel Aviv, meanwhile, will launch on June 1.
Cohen’s new bookstore is expected to open by July.
The launch of Cohen’s bookstore comes as Amazon is in the process of opening a second bookshop in Tel-Aviv, where it will offer ebooks, audiobooks, music and video.
According the Post, the new Tel Aviv store will also offer e-books, video and music.
Cohen will be the sole bookseller at the new location.
In the wake of the death of his wife, Shira, in October, Cohen announced plans to move to Tel Aviv to live with his parents.
He was reported to be preparing to move from Tel Aviv for Israel’s next major religious pilgrimage, the summer solstice, later this month.
In February, Cohen’s company, the Israel Book Group, announced plans for a new Tel-Yehuda bookstore, with the aim of launching a “new” digital bookstore.
The new Tel Aviv store, it is reported, will be one of a number of such bookstores, with plans to open “a few” in Israel by the end of the year.
