Naga Bookings, a new e-commerce portal launched by the Naga Federation of Enterprises, is looking to increase bookings from over Rs 50 lakh to over Rs 100 lakh by October.
“It is the biggest opportunity for us, it is a big opportunity for the economy and it is our ambition,” Naga CEO and founder, Manoj Prakash, said.
“We are trying to get as much bookings as possible in the next few months,” he said, adding that there are around 25,000 people in the city who can book through the portal.
According to Naga’s bookings website, there are about 150 bookings for the first time each month, with more bookings expected to be made in the months to come.
Naga has recently been taking over the business of selling books and digital media products in the state of Maharashtra.
“This is a very important project for the state,” said Prakatas.
The company has already made investments in bookings through a partnership with the city-based book-making company, Laxman Printing.
“The project will be a positive one for the entire state,” Prakachas said.
Bookings at Naga are priced based on the length of time the book is expected to remain on sale, and the number of people willing to book it, which is the key factor for booking bookings.
Booking at Nige is currently priced at Rs 20 for books over 20,000 words.
Nima Books will open its portal on January 1, 2019.
